Jim Blair- Second Generation
Jim started in the hardwood floor industry in 1968 with his father John when he was only 12 years old. He worked with his father during the summer months on gymnasium floors and military housing. For 10 years, starting at the age of 19, he ran the sanding and refinishing contracts at McCord and Fort Lewis and in Vancouver Washington. Then Jim started marketing hardwood floors at the Puyallup Fair and Tacoma Home & Garden shows. His business started to grow doing work through contractors and other floor covering companies. Jim is now in business with his son, Johnny and daughter, Krissy. They have been working closely together for the past 15 years. Jim now does all the estimating, scheduling, ordering materials, and work orders. He’s also known, from time to time, to grab a truck and go to work.
He enjoys, fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, old cars, go-kart racing with his kids and grandkids and spending quality time with his wife of 36 years.

Johnny Blair-Third Generation
Johnny started in the hardwood flooring industry at the age of 15. He was trained by his grandfather John. He worked side by side with his grandfather for 10 years learning everything he needed to know about hardwood flooring installation, staining, sanding, and refinishing. At the age of 25 Johnny was leading crews, and final coating every job himself. Johnny is known in the industry as the “best” finisher. He has used every kind of floor finishing product in the industry.
He is now 31 years old, sharing his life with his wife Karla and son, Dylan. He enjoys, fishing, snowboarding, go-kart racing, music, art and spending quality time with his wife and son.

Krissy Blair-Wells – Third Generation
Krissy started her career in the dental industry at the age of 18 years old. She worked in the front office as a scheduling treatment coordinator for 5 years. In 2003, an opportunity came open to go to work for the family business. Krissy has now been a part of the family business for 8 years. She has many jobs in the office, from book keeping, scheduling, answering phones, ordering materials, educating customers on the best wood products available, marketing for the business and much more. Krissy’s main focus in the family hardwood business today is to build a strong, long-lasting customer relationship.
She shares her life with her husband, Jon of 7 years and two son’s, Blair and Ryder. She enjoys scrapbooking, planning events, Zumba dance, go-kart racing, and spending quality time with her husband and boys.

Brian
Brian has been in the hardwood flooring industry for 15 years. He has been a part of Blair & Son Floor Company for the past 3 years. Brian is our lead Hardwood Installer. He has the power and knowledge to install any pre-finished or unfinished hardwood floor. He also works very closely with Johnny ensuring every job is done to perfection. Brian comes to work every day with a smile on his face, ready to work. He is a great pleasure to have on our team.
His favorite thing about hardwood floors is the characteristic of the different woods and the satisfaction of knowing he did a good job.
He enjoys body building, playing out on the water, hot rods, and spending time with his girlfriend and family.
Albert
Albert has been with Blair & Son Company for 7 years. He received on the job, hands on training by Johnny. Albert is a great asset to Blair & Son, he can do a little of everything. He works hard and loves installing, sanding and refinishing hardwood floors.
Albert enjoys cooking, salsa dancing, and spending time with his family and friends
His favorite thing about doing hardwood floors is, how beautiful they become.
